These two containers do not contain enough grated cheese product and are too light and the last container has metal particles in it. The five correctly filled containers have acceptable parameters and continue down-line. The next two under-filled containers are diverted as they are not within the proper weight range. The final container has metal contaminants and is diverted to the metal contamination bin. So what happens if a container has metal and is not within the proper weight range? Those containers are diverted into the metal contamination bin as product containing metal must be inspected and discarded.
All of these functions are controlled by our Scale Data System touch screen controller. The controller tracks weight information for each product. The operator can easily change the product type so that production information can be viewed for each product as it is being run. The controller stores information such as total weight, total number of containers, average weight of the containers, number of containers rejected, and the number of containers accepted for each product run. Using this system will give the producer confidence in knowing all containers leaving the facility are within acceptable limits for weight and metal contamination.
